Integrated Management System policy

Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry is committed to improve its abilities to serve and develop the economy of the U.A.E in general and Sharjah emirate in particular, to earn its unique status on the map of global business, in order to achieve its vision “an effective business community in a sustainable global competitive economy” through the application of the Integrated System of Management for Quality (ISO 9001:2015), Environment (ISO 14001:2015), and Occupational Health and Safety (ISO 45001:2018), with special focus on:

  • Provide members with value-added services, information, and economic studies as well as coordinate investment opportunities that allow them to grow, prosper, and compete more in the global market.

  • Continuous development of the events that Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry organizes or participates in by being dedicated to all the details involved in providing the best for all categories of members. 

  • Develop and diversify the emirate’s exports, improve the system of foreign trade exchange, and attract investments through the efficient and effective management of strategic partnerships.

  • Develop a supportive and empowering environment for the growth and prosperity of entrepreneurship and small and medium enterprises, and a supportive legislative environment for the business community in the emirate.

  • Improve the employees’ performance by providing them with the necessary training to meet the required competence level and fulfil the continuous improvement of activities and services level   that are provided to members, suppliers, and strategic partners categories in order to attain their satisfaction and confidence.

  • Achieve compatibility and compliance with the requirements of relevant legislation, laws, and the best practices in the field of the Environment and Occupational Health and Safety.

  • Preserve the environment and positively affect it through encouraging materials’ recycling and preventing pollution. 

  • Improve the efficiency of energy consumption and rationalize the overall consumption of non-renewable resources.

  • Identify and assess the risks related to Occupational Health and Safety, and the Environmental impacts in order to continuously control them. Reduce the occurrence of occupational injuries and illnesses in order to ensure the safety of employees, workers inside its premises, members, and the community members.

  • Address and correct the deficiencies in the Environment and Occupational Health and Safety domain, and fill the gaps that are reported throughout the auditing sessions, inspections, and accident investigations

  • Prepare and regularly test emergency plans to ensure the readiness and effective response in a timely matter.

  • Continuously disseminate the policy, objectives, and awareness of the of the requirements of the Quality, Environment, and Occupational Health and Safety Management System for employees. workers inside its premises, members.
