Business Continuity Management System ISO 22301:2019 and the National Standard for Business Continuity Management System NCEMA 7000:2021 Policy
Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry is committed to achieving its vision of “An effective business community in a sustainable global competitive economy” that is based on objectives relevant to the foundations of excellence and sustainability. Also, providing its core services in the Headquarters and all other service centers, in addition to Sharjah International Commercial Arbitration Centre “TAHKEEM” and Expo Centre Sharjah in case of emergencies, disasters, and crises. This is done through applying the requirements of the Business Continuity Management System ISO 22301: 2019 and the National Standard for Business Continuity Management System NCEMA 7000:2021 with focusing on the following points:
• Commitment to implementing the Business Continuity Management System and the National Standard for Business Continuity Management System requirements and complying to all the relevant legal and regulatory requirements to ensure the continuity of providing the core services during the specified period, while providing the necessary resources for that.
• Commitment to reduce the time of interruption of services, particularly the core ones, to an acceptable level based on the results of the risk assessment and business impact analysis with indicating the priorities.
• Commitment to managing and responding to incidents with high efficiency and effectiveness to mitigate its’ impact on employees, clients, operations and infrastructure through implementing business continuity plans and periodically testing their effectiveness and efficiency.
• Enhancing opportunities and continuous communication channels with the parties concerned with the Chamber's operations and services in case of emergencies and determining the normal service recovery period.
• Commitment to raising awareness among all the parties concerned about the Business Continuity Management System and the National Standard for Business Continuity Management System requirements to enhance their capabilities and sustain their continuity in providing core operations and services.
• Continuous improvement by periodically reviewing the procedures and objectives of Business Continuity Management System and the National Standard for Business Continuity Management System, and learning from successful experiences and relevant best practices.
