The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) are set to launch “Shamsa Entertainment City”, the latest family-friendly destination under the Sharjah Summer Promotions 2025 program, which will continue until September 1 across all cities and areas of the emirate.
Positioned as a key attraction of this year’s campaign, Shamsa Entertainment City will officially open on Thursday at Expo Centre Sharjah under the theme “Shamsa Festival – Where Fun Shines” and will run through August 30.
As part of a strategic vision to enhance summer engagement, the destination offers families a fully integrated experience of discovery and entertainment tailored to inspire creativity and imagination, further reinforcing Sharjah’s position as a leading tourist, cultural, and family destination.
The entertainment city spans a large area across Halls 2 and 4 at Expo Centre Sharjah and presents a wide array of themed zones and interactive games designed for families. Children can engage in creative activities at "Shamsa Crown Workshops" or enhance their culinary skills through hands-on experiences in "Shamsa Kitchen”, where they can enjoy cooking and cupcake decoration.
Shamsa Entertainment City also features "Shamsa Studio”, which delivers a social-media-friendly filming experience for tech enthusiasts. The expansive play area includes virtual reality attractions and bumper cars, offering children ample space for immersive entertainment.
Visitors can also leave their impressions and reflections on the Gratitude Wall by writing a "Message to Shamsa”, encouraging young guests to express memorable moments. The setup transforms the entertainment city into an interactive experience that leaves a lasting impact on children while connecting them with the Sharjah Summer Promotions 2025’s event agenda.
The SCCI and SCTDA's launch of “Shamsa Entertainment City” aims to enhance community engagement, stimulate economic growth, and establish long-term and sustainable entertainment and commercial assets. By investing in experiences that appeal to the public and younger generations, the initiative introduces a new entertainment platform that strengthens Sharjah’s status as a premier family destination.
