With the release of its first issue in 2017, Al Tijarah Magazine celebrates its 46th year of outstanding coverage of important economic, commercial and social events that have taken place in Sharjah emirate and the UAE over the years.
Al Tijarah Magazine is one of the oldest monthly magazines specialized in economic affairs in the country and is published in English and Arabic as its first issue came out in 1971 in the early foundation of the federation, considered then and still is one of the most important media forums for the public to hear the news on events and economic milestones of the UAE and particularly Sharjah emirate.
The magazine does not stop at covering economic news but covers the important social and cultural events taking place in the emirate, in addition to news and activities of Sharjah Chamber and its affiliates and partners. The magazine contributed to spreading awareness among the public by publishing research studies specializing in the economy, and helped get businessmen acquainted with numerous investment opportunities in the emirate, the divers exhibitions being held in Sharjah and beyond, in addition to covering events taking place at federations, chambers and the different local, regional, and global economic organizations and entities.
The Magazine also seeks to shed light on the most important issues that influence the local, regional and international economic arena through holding meetings with stake holders and officials, and works in line with the Chamber’s directives to support the local economic establishments and entrepreneurs by preparing specialist investigations on their establishments and providing comprehensive media coverage for their projects.
His Excellency Abdullah Sultan Al Oweis, Sharjah Chamber’s Chairman of the Board, expressed his pride in the big and continuous role being played by the magazine over the years in covering the most important economic and commercial events in the emirate, and spreading the Chamber’s message in enhancing sustainable development and marketing the huge investment opportunities in Sharjah emirate, and he emphasized that celebrating the magazine’s 46th year comes as the crowning of a journey of persistent hard work in media excellence that is in harmony with Sharjah emirate’s methodology in advancing excellence and creativity to ever wider horizons, in line with the vision of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qassimi, Supreme Council Member Ruler of Sharjah to achieve excellence and creativity in all work that we do in the economic, social and media fields.
