Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry has successfully concluded its participation in the Sixth International Government Communication Forum, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qassimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
Sharjah Chamber’s participation as an official sponsor and strategic partner of the forum, organized by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau under the theme “Societal Participation…Comprehensive Development”, supports the forum in showcasing Sharjah’s UAE’s efforts in conforming with the participles and goals of sustainable development.
The Chamber displayed the most important services its provides its clients and the business community with at its platform in the exhibition accompanying the forum, as part of its efforts to enhance the role being played by the economic entities in driving the wheels of sustainable development, encouraging practices that are environmentally friendly, and developing the responsibilities of the private sector towards society.
The Chamber also showed visitors the electronic services it provides for its clients through its website and social media and smart applications to facilitate procedures, as part of Sharjah government’s electronic services that are aimed at improving the quality and form of services, flexibility, and methods of providing information and references, to achieve the highest standards of international quality.
A work team from the Chamber’s media department took part in the relevant activities, seminars and workshops of the forum, to learn from experts and get to know their vision to enhance government communication’s contribution to achieving sustainable development and economy, the spread of social media and fast development in communication technologies, which supports the Chamber’s vision to become a driving force for sustainable economic development for all business, commercial and industrial activities in Sharjah and become a hub for providing the best services to its clients.
Khaled bin Butti Al Hajeri, Sharjah Chamber’s Director General, stressed that the International Government Communication Forum has become an annual meeting event crucial to the relevant bodies in government communication in Sharjah, the UAE and the region, introducing new blood to government media establishments, and bringing to the fore core issues at the top priorities of individuals and Emirati society, helping establish a balanced relationship between officials and the media and the public.
Al Hajeri said that government communication plays a strategic role in supporting UAE Vision 2021 and government policy: this Forum has become an event that is anticipated by media and government establishments and experts in particular, in order to find discover the latest technologies of the industry and corporate culture around the world in. This will ensure achieving government communication strategies in Sharjah and the UAE.
