Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry has announced the details of the fourth edition of the Middle East Real Estate Investment Exhibition and Conference ‘Acres 2017’, held under gracious patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.
Acres 2017 is organized by SCCI from March 21st to 23rd, in collaboration with Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department and the Real Estate Sector Work Group at the Chamber.
Details of the event were revealed in a press conference held yesterday at SCCI’s headquarters in Sharjah, attended by H.E. Khaled bin Butti Al Hajri, Director- General of SCCI, accompanied by a number of high executives from various Sharjah Government branches, and a group of media representatives.
Acres 2017 highlights the facilities and regulations that support real estate investment in the Emirate of Sharjah, via a number of seminars, workshops, and panel discussions hosted by relevant department directors in Sharjah and a number of sector leaders in the Emirate.
Commenting on the news, HE Al Hajeri said: “Organizing this event in its fourth edition this year is a reflection of the great support this sector enjoys in Sharjah. Acres 2017 is an ideal platform to promote leading real estate developments and opportunities, and a great opportunity for networking and experience sharing.”
For his part, HE Saeed Ghanim Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Real Estate Sector Working Group operating under SCCI umbrella, said: “Holding Acres 2017 is part of the mandate of the Real Estate Sector Working Group at SCCI. The event aims to connect with the private sector and highlight challenges and opportunities at this vital sector.”
Acres 2017 is organized with support from Expo Center Sharjah, and sponsorship of Sharjah Municipality, Directorate of Town Planning and Survey, Sharjah Directorate of Housing, Sharjah Media Corporation, Department of Economic Development, Al Saja'a Industrial Oasis, Emirates Industrial City, Fam Holding, and Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority.
H.E. Abdulaziz Rashid Al Saleh, Director General of the Real Estate Registration Department, highlighted Sharjah’s position as a secure haven for real estate projects, owing to its modern regulations and law. Al Saleh disclosed that over 200 real estate projects has been registered at the Department since the beginning of 2017, sold both as freehold and on benefit basis.
In his speech at the conference, H.E. Khalifa bin Haddah Al Suwaidi from Sharjah Municipality reaffirmed that the Municipality is committed to supporting this event, based on its strong belief in its role in supporting real estate investments in the region, and promoting developmental projects in Sharjah and the whole region.
Salim Al Ghaythi, Director of Programs at Sharjah TV, also reaffirmed Sharjah Media Corporation’s commitment to supporting Sharjah’s development, via shedding light on achievements and great efforts exerted by various public and private institutions. Al Ghayathi confirmed that SMC will act as a media partner for Acres.
SCCI invited all real estate companies to take part in the event, and showcase their projects and developments, reaffirming its dedication to facilitating this participation and availing all required support, in collaboration with Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department.
