Spring Bazaar 2017 event, organized by Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry at Expo Centre Sharjah and held for 4 days, in cooperation with Blue Light company for organizing exhibitions, came to a close yesterday Sunday, as part of Sharjah Spring Promotions.
The Bazaar was aimed at Sharjah emirate’s visitors including nationals, residents and tourists from the different cities and provinces of the emirate, and was opened by His Excellency Waleed Bu Khatir, Second Deputy of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Chairman of the Board, and was attended by Her Excellency Raghdah Taryam, board member, HE Mohammad Rashid bin Deemas, board member, Ibrahim Rashid Al Jarwan, Director of the Economic Relations Department at the Chamber and General Coordinator of Sharjah Spring Promotions, Hana Al Suwaidi, Head of Economic Promotion Section at the Chamber, in addition to stakeholders, designers, Emirati talent and fashion and arts connoisseurs.
The Bazaar, launched on Thursday 2 February, saw honoring “Sharjah Media Center” and other entities and sponsors taking part, along with more than 70 exhibitors, all organized by Sharjah Chamber within “Sharjah Spring Promotions”.
HE Waleed Bu Khatir stressed Sharjah Chamber’s keenness to organize, support and sponsor economic events that are in harmony with its vision and mission and that stimulate commercial and industrial businesses, encouraging them to be successful, develop ad spread locally and internationally, and raise the national product to the highest levels of quality and innovation, and also enhance Sharjah emirate’s aspirations to achieve a sustainable development on all fronts.
HE Bu Khatir said: “Sharjah Spring Bazaar is one of many events organized by Sharjah Chamber over the course of the year in the different provinces of the emirate, to serve the local business community and especially entrepreneurs and small and medium enterprises (SMEs), as these events offer a great opportunity for these segments to develop their commercial relations, prosper and become competitive on a larger scale in the global market, in addition to enhancing commerce in the emirate to a higher level.”
For his part Ibrahim Rashid Al Jarwan, Director of the Economic Relations Department at Sharjah Chamber, expressed the Chamber’s gratitude to all government entities and economic partners and sponsors who contributed to making this Bazaar a success, and to all who are keen to cooperate with the Chamber to ensure the success of the other events that are being held as part of Sharjah Spring Promotions.
The exhibition included a show for “Abayat”, “Sheilat”, “Jallabiat”, perfumes, incense, candles, clothes and related accessories that attracted citizens, residents and tourists, in addition to a selection of fashions produced by famous Emirati designers who launched the latest Emirati and Gulf fashion trends.
The event featured a fashion show dedicated to Emirati and Gulf fashion designs of modern “Abayat” and “Sheilat” by prominent local designers, inspired by the Emirati and Gulf heritages and mixed the traditional with the modern characteristics.
A number of exhibitors at the Bazaar expressed their gratitude to Sharjah Chamber and other sponsors for organizing and supporting the event, and stressed that it was an important commercial event for a wide range of the public and an attractive platform to exhibit national products and establish a rapport with the concerned tradesmen, designers and entrepreneurs.
The Bazaar attracted ladies from several emirates and Gulf states, in addition to Arab women and tourists who love Emirati fashion and follow its latest designs and creations, as this Bazaar encourages the Emirati businesswomen of this sector to distinguish themselves in fashion and other accessories for ladies that show the renewability of the Arab woman’s taste through presenting the latest fashion designs and the best labels for ladies in the UAE and the Gulf region.
