His Excellency Khaled bin Butti Al Hajeri, Director General of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, discussed with Sikdar Badr Al Zaman , new Bangladeshi Consul General in the UAE, ways to develop relations between the Chamber and the Consulate, coinciding with the Consul General starting his duties in the UAE and gaining a close look at Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and what it provides for the business community in the emirate.
During a meeting held in Sharjah Chamber the two sides discussed strengthening economic ties and enhancing trade and commerce between Sharjah emirate and the Republic of Bangladesh, to serve the needs of the business communities in both countries and enhance the chances for mutual investment. Khaled bin Butti stressed the Chamber’s keenness to develop economic relations between Sharjah and Bangladesh towards more growth and prosperity within a framework of strong friendship.
Khaled bin Butti said this meeting comes within periodic meetings being held by the Chamber with ambassadors and consuls in the UAE, to attract investment and open the doors of all markets around the world for the local business community, to enhance developing non-oil sectors in the country and diversify sources of income to achieve a comprehensive economic renaissance and growth.
Khaled bin Butti expressed the Chamber’s willingness to provide all facilities to businessmen from Bangladesh who wish to enter into commercial partnerships with their counterparts in Sharjah for the good of the two countries.
Khaled bin Butti gave a presentation on the most remarkable economic advantages of Sharjah emirate and the facilities provided for foreign investment through free zones and airports, in addition to an advanced infrastructure.
On his part Sikdar Badr Al Zaman, new Consul General of Bangladesh in the UAE, expressed his country’s keenness to enhance bi-lateral relations and stressed the importance of commercial activity between the Republish of Bangladesh and Sharjah and the means to develop cooperation and mutual trade and investment.
During the meeting that was attended by Dr. Rafeeq Ahmed, Consultant of Commerce at the Consulate, and Omar Saleh Mohammed, Director of Business and International Relations Department at Sharjah Chamber, a number of practical steps to develop relations between the Consulate and the Chamber were reviewed, and between Emirati entrepreneurs with their counterparts in Bangladesh by increasing meetings and visits in the near future.
