Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has discussed with the Austrian Embassy in the UAE ways to enhance business collaboration between Sharjah and Austria.
Both sides also explored building bilateral partnerships that would bolster the business environment for both regions and elevate trade, industrial, and investment collaboration among private sector entities and institutions in both countries.
The talks were held during a business meeting between Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman, and Dr. Etienne Berchtold, Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to the UAE.
Also present at the meeting that took place at the Chamber's headquarters were members of the Board of Directors, Fatima Khalifa Al Muqarrab, Director of the International Relations Department, and Johannes Brunner, Commercial Counsellor at the Embassy of the Republic of Austria.
During the gathering, the two sides discussed ways to reinforce cooperation and coordination between the Sharjah Chamber and the Embassy of Austria in the UAE. Discussions also touched on enhancing communication channels to facilitate joint events, reciprocal visits of business leaders, missions, and trade delegations from both sides to introduce the business communities in Sharjah and Austria to the advantages of investing in the two countries.
Highlighting the significance of the meeting, HE Abdullah Sultan Al Owais underscored the potedntial of such dialogues in shaping future strategic plans and discovering avenues of cooperation between Sharjah and Austria. He emphasised the role of such interactions in solidifying trade bonds and mutual investment endeavors.
Additionally, he noted that many Austrian businesses have already established presence within the Emirate of Sharjah, being registered with the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and are specialized in a wide range of economic sectors.
