Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has received a student delegation from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade and representatives of the Consulate-General of the Republic of India in Dubai, including 30 students, to learn about the best practices and services provided by Sharjah Chamber to its members and affiliates.
The delegation was received by Fatima Khalifa Al-Muqarrab, Director of the International Relations department. They learned about SCCI's history, its departments, divisions, activities, its pioneering experience for the benefit of the business community, the services it provides to its members, and its tireless endeavor to enhance Sharjah's leading position as a regional hub for international trade.
Welcoming the visitors, Al-Muqarrab said that the visit is part of the constructive cooperation and joint coordination between the SCCI and the Indian consulate in Dubai, stressing that SCCI's doors are always open to students and supports them. The delegation was briefed on SCCI's sponsorship programmes for university students, such as the SCCI Award for Innovators, held annually in cooperation with the University of Sharjah and its social responsibility initiatives to support students, as well as SCCI's efforts in furthering the emirate’s economic position and achieving comprehensive development and initiatives to support the private sector.
