Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized a business meeting with an economic delegation from the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry. The  meeting was attended by Ibrahim Rashid Al Jarwan, Director, Department of Economic Relations, Amjad Awad Al Karim, Section Head of the Business Groups, representatives of a number of government agencies and institutions in the emirate along with officials from the Federation The Indian Chambers and representatives of the food and beverage sector in India and Sharjah, with the objective of providing opportunities for businesses on both sides to meet and discuss possible areas of cooperation and investment opportunities.

Presentations were given by both sides introducing the advantages and facilities available in the hospitality and services sector in general and the food and beverage sector, and it was decided to set up direct meetings between business owners from the Indian delegation with their counterparts in Sharjah to support trade exchange.
