Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) successfully concluded its participation in the Annual Investment Forum 2022, held at its pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, March 29-31, during which the Chamber highlighted the ideal environment, investment incentives, as well as existing and future projects across various sectors in the Emirate of Sharjah.
Sharjah Chamber held several meetings with regional and international delegations, including one that brought together HE Abdullah Al Oweis, Chairman, and Mohamed Bin Obaid Al Mazrooei, Chairman of the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID), with the attendance of HE Waleed AbdelRahman Bukhatir, Second Vice-chairman of the board at Sharjah Chamber.
Various participants praised efforts made to provide more incentives and facilities to the private sector to take advantage of agricultural land investment opportunities available in several Arab countries as means to enhance Arab food security.
Al Oweis maintained, "It was a fruitful participation, through which we sought to strengthen cooperation relations with many Arab and foreign countries, chambers of commerce and industry, institutions, economic entities and investment promotion agencies. We also highlighted Sharjah's investment climate and the facilities available to investors and business owners. In addition, we shed new light on the nature and quality of Sharjah Chamber’s services provided to the business community, as well as its role in the development of businesses."
HE Mohammad Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General, held a meeting with Her Excellency Ahlam Madani Mahdi Sabeel, Minister of Investment and International Cooperation of Sudan, and HE Ahmed Abdel Rahman, Consul General of Sudan in Dubai, and addressed methods to strengthen bilateral economic relations and measures to expand the role of the industrial, commercial, and agricultural sectors.
The two sides also exchanged views on how to benefit from the expertise available on each side in order to contribute to the establishment of collaborative investment ventures.
