The Sharjah Training and Development Center (STDC) of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has been accredited as an IELTS training and testing center, starting this January.
With this step, students and other categories in Sharjah can apply for the IELTS test at the Chamber headquarters, which is part of its commitment to offering societal training services according to the best standards of quality, efficiency, and excellence.
"By virtue of our agreement with the Excellence Center for Applied Research and Training (CERT) of the Higher Colleges of Technology, the STDC has been approved as an IELTS training and testing center, reflecting the quality and efficiency of training programs and courses provided by the center," said Mariam Saif Al Shamsi, Assistant Director-General of the Sharjah Chamber for the Support Services Sector.
Amal Abdullah Al Ali, STDC director, the preparatory courses the center will provide to the trainees will focus on improving their listening, speaking, writing, and reading skills to obtain the degree required to pass the test to join universities in the country and abroad or jobs that require this test.
She pointed out that the courses will be presented by an elite of specialized and accredited lecturers, explaining that the SCCI has prepared halls equipped with the latest educational tools and skills in this regard.
Al Ali further added that the IELTS test will be held throughout the year, with five days set for the exam in the first quarter of this year (8th and 29th January, 12 and 26 February, and 12 March 2022).
