Under the theme "Building a Sustainable Economy", the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) organized the 3rd 'Business Councils Forum'. The aim of this forum is to strengthen the bonds of cooperation between the Emirate of Sharjah with friendly and brotherly countries, said HE Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, pointing to the importance of sustainable economic construction. He added: "Sharjah has a clear-cut plan founded on the establishment of a strong economy that catapults social and cultural development in the emirate. A dialogue session was held as part of the forum’s activities, moderated by Alia Al Mansouri. During the session, Mohammed Al Balushi, an investment specialist at the Ministry of Economy, stressed the importance of the strategic location of the UAE, through which you can access various countries of the world. He added that the UAE is also distinguished by its stable and diversified economy, alongside a strong legal system that maintains the stability of projects. Fahad Shehail, Chief Operating Officer of Bee'ah Group, said: "The UAE attaches great importance to the green economy and environmental sustainability. It aims to be a pioneer in waste recycling and producing electrical energy from it and supplying about 20,000 residents of Sharjah regions with this energy. Ali Saeed Bouzanjal, Director of the Digital Transformation Department at the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park, highlighted the emirate's efforts to develop education, help students by supporting research and providing opportunities for visits to international research institutions to sharpen their capabilities. Sultan Shattaf, Director of Sales and Marketing Department at Expo Center Sharjah, shed light on Expo Centre Sharjah's success in organizing a large number of events that targeted local investors, specifically the retail sector, which contributed to the recovery of sales. Lourdes Isabello, Chairperson of the Portuguese Labor Council, underscored that the Portuguese Business Council helped them a lot in getting to know new partners, as well as participating in events that contributed to the growth and expansion of their businesses.
