The Sharjah Summer Promotions 2021, organized by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI) under the theme "Sharjah Summer_Shopping_Fun_Prizes", was concluded on Thursday evening, achieving an overwhelming success and lucrative returns for the retail trade sector and many other economic sectors.
On this occasion, the SCCI confirmed that the "Sharjah Summer Promotions 2021" has once again proven its worth as one of the most prominent commercial and tourism events organized annually by the Chamber, in addition to being one of the most significant events that contribute to boosting retail sales and motivating businessmen to double their investments in this sector.
This year's edition was completely different, owing to the charming tourist atmosphere filled with various events and recreational activities. This made shopping more pleasant, especially in light of the exciting deals and discounts offered by shopping centers and shops on the top brands and other goods and products, in addition to several worthy prizes and gifts, while adopting the strictest precautionary measures to maintain community health.
This edition of the Sharjah Summer Promotions has attracted a heavy turnout of shoppers and visitors from different emirates of the country, who enjoyed various entertainment and heritage activities and benefited from promotional campaigns and major discounts of up to 80%.
This is in addition to the overwhelming participation of retail stores in Sharjah and the central and eastern regions of the emirate, which contributed to giving the retail sector more recovery and growth.
HE Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al-Awadi, Director-General, SCCI, said: "I'm extremely pleased with the success of this season of Sharjah Summer Promotions and its ability to achieve the sought-after objectives, being one of the most important events organized by the Chamber every year.
This comes as part of the SCCI's keenness to highlight Sharjah’s economic, social, cultural, and tourism status, as well as to contribute to revitalizing the commercial movement in the markets and achieving sustainable growth for it, he added.
It also stems from the Chamber's commitment to joining forces with strategic partners to achieve the economic vision of the Emirate of Sharjah in accordance with the directives of the wise leadership and to enhance its reputation and position as a model city for life, a leading and attractive destination for tourists, and a vital economic hub for business.
Al Awadi hailed the cooperation of all the strategic partners of this event and the shopping centers that provided the residents and visitors of the emirate with an ideal shopping experience with new and innovative modern standards and concepts.
He also commended the participating bodies and their commitment to implementing the utmost precautionary measures, besides the abundance of their recreational activities, promotional campaigns, major discounts, and valuable prizes offered.
For her part, Hana Al Suwaidi, Head of Festivals and Shows Department, SCCI, underlined that the success of this season is a continuation of the successes achieved by the Promotions in the previous editions.
This gives an additional impetus to exert more efforts and put forward innovative ideas to develop the activities of the upcoming seasons, in order to raise the rate of satisfaction among the public and merchants, in addition to achieving the best returns for workers in the retail trade sector, and other sectors, most notably the hotels, tourism and travel sectors.
Al Suwaidi commended the role of the Chamber’s shopping malls sector business group for their significant contribution to organizing a season full of diverse, distinctive, and attractive surprises, with the support of the SCCI, stressing that the Chamber always strives to strengthen the emirate's leading role in organizing promotional offers, highlight the position of the local business community, and stimulate commercial movement in the markets to serve the investment and its multiple fields.
