As part of its precautionary and preventive measures to ensure the highest levels of protection for employees and customers, the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry, SCCI, has intensified its efforts in the sterilization and disinfection process of its buildings in cooperation with bee’ah.
This comes as part of the National Sterilization Program and the relentless efforts taken by the country and the Sharjah government to battle the spread of the emerging coronavirus (COVID-19).
The sterilization process included the customer service areas, service centers, the entire offices, work tools, reception areas, and various internal and external facilities.
The SCCI stressed that all the materials used in the sterilization process are with high efficiency in combating viruses and germs, underlining that hand sanitizers are available everywhere in the workplace to ensure the safety of everyone.
His Excellency Mohammad Ahmed Amin Al-Awadi, SCCI’s Director-General, stressed the SCCI’s keenness to support the Emirate of Sharjah’s efforts in implementing the National Sterilization Program by harnessing all potentials to maintain the health and safety of employees and customers.
Al-Awadi lauded the cooperation between the SCCI and bee’ah ensure the health and safety of everyone, pointing out that the company is using the best-advanced cleaning equipment in the sterilization process while providing all protective supplies for internal work teams who are not included in the remote work system.
The SCCI’s Director-General shed light on the chamber’s preventive measures to curb the spread of COVID-19, including the use of a digital fingerprint and the remote working system as per the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. Such directives stem from his highness’s great attention to the health and safety of everyone and to government employees and their families.
Among the measures taken by the SCCI to contain the spread of COVID-19 are the activation of the online attestation services and the provision of a full system of smart services catering to the needs of the business community in accordance with the highest international standards, the matter which underlines the SCCI’s firm commitment towards the private sector by finding solutions to deal with the fallout of COVID-19 and to enhance the competitiveness of the business environment in Sharjah.
