Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Khaled bin Abdullah bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Seaports and Customs, honored the winners of the 4th Sharjah Excellence Award 2019, in addition to honoring partners, sponsors, jury committee members, and the award working group. This came during the annual ceremony organized by Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry, SCCI, at the Expo Centre Sharjah, in the presence of HE Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the SCCI and the Board of Trustees of Sharjah Excellence Award, members of the Award Board of Trustees, HE Dr. Saud bin Abdulaziz Al-Mishari, Secretary-General of the Federation of Chambers of the Gulf Cooperation Council, SCCI’s Director-General, HE Mohammad Ahmed Amin Al-Awadi, and Nada Al Hajri, General Coordinator of the Sharjah Excellence Award. Also attending were a number of heads and officials of government authorities and local departments, ambassadors and consuls, representatives of the Gulf Chambers of Commerce and Industry, as well as the award partners, sponsors, and a crowd of representatives of the private sector companies, businessmen and media. Sheikh Khaled Al Qasimi, accompanied by HE Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, and HE Mohammad Ahmed Amin Al-Awadi handed over the accolades and awards to the 16 winners of the six categories of Sharjah Excellence Award. The category of the Sharjah Excellence award was awarded to Anchor Allied Factory LLC, Zulekha Hospital LLC, Al Ansari Exchange LLC – SHJ. BR, Al Muqarram Insulation Mat. Ind. LLC, and Injazat Services LLC. The Sharjah CSR Award category went to Sharjah Police Headquarter and Al Zajil Fairs Management. The category of Sharjah Entrepreneurs Award was awarded to Abdullah Sultan Abdullah Al Dah and Hussain Ali Abdullah Al Ghazal Al Shamsi. The category of the Sharjah Gulf Excellence Award was awarded to Leminar Air Conditioning Company LLC, UAE Exchange Center LLC, and National Cables Industry. The Sharjah Green Award category went to Zulekha Hospital LLC and Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (SEWA). While Tawseel Orders Delivery Services LLC and Crisol Restaurant & Lounge won the category of Sharjah Small & Medium Enterprises Award. Honoring the Strategic Partners The strategic and media partners of the 4th edition of Sharjah Excellence Award were also honored, including; Sharjah Government Media Bureau, Sharjah Commerce & Tourism Development Authority, The National Program for Small and Medium Enterprises, Sharjah International Commercial Arbitration Centre, Sharjah Exports Development Center (SEDC), Sharjah Capability Development – Tatweer, The European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM), Dar Al Khaleej Printing & Publishing, UAE BARQ, and the environmental partner Entrepreneur Middle East. In the same context, the jury members of the award were also honored including; Sheikh Dr. Abdulaziz bin Ali Al-Nuaimi, HE Hamad Al-Mahmoud, Dr. Adeeb Al-Afifi, Dr. Issa Al-Qaidi, Shawqi Al-Youssef, Habeeba Al-Marashi, Dr. Rita Al-Haddad, Dr. Ahmed Al-Amoush, Dr. Abdullah Shanabla, Dr. Leila Al-Jasmi, Majd Al-Fayyad, and Hazza Al-Mansoori. Consolidating the Culture of Excellence HE Abdullah Sultan Al Owais thanked His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah for patronizing the Sharjah Excellence Award, extending his thanks to Sheikh Khaled bin Abdullah bin Sultan Al Qasimi for attending the ceremony and honoring the winners. Al Owais stressed that honoring the distinguished economic institutions and the individuals who won the Sharjah Excellence Award, reflects the wise vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, in terms of enhancing the culture of excellence, creativity, and innovation in Sharjah’s business community and the mainstreaming of this culture in the UAE and GCC countries. He added: “Motivating the economic enterprises to achieve the excellence, innovation, and creativity, whether institutionally or functionally, comes as part of the SCCI’s ambitions and endeavors to achieve its future plans and strategic objectives efficiently, effectively and successfully.” While congratulating the winners of the 4th Sharjah Excellence Award, the SCCI’s Chairman underlined that they fully deserve these awards in recognition of their excellence, creativity, and efforts in 2019. Al Owais extended his thanks to the strategic partners who showed their keenness on the success and development of the award, appreciating the efforts of the evaluation teams, arbitration committees and consultants. Achieving Common Visions HE Mohammad Ahmed Amin Al-Awadi said: “The SCCI is keen to enhance the culture of quality and excellence and to develop the economic role of private sector institutions and Gulf business communities to support development plans and projects in the economies of the GCC countries. The SCCI will constantly evolve the award to ensure its role in developing the reality of local and Gulf business communities by motivating the private sector to adopt a culture of excellence and quality standards to overcome challenge and to engage in developing economic policies and playing a key role, jointly with the public sector, in achieving the common visions of the GCC leaders on the economic level and other fields.” Pioneering Models Nada Al Hajri underlined that the winners fully deserve these awards in recognition of their excellence, creativity and valuable efforts in 2019, pointing out that the winning establishments are pioneering models in terms of the efficient administrative and technical performance, productivity, operational processes, and its social and environmental responsibility in accordance with administrative and professional principles and standards. Al Hajri added: “The evaluation teams the arbitration committees were highly qualified, professional and impartial. The evaluation process included documentary review, field visits, personal interviews, objective analysis and impartial scrutiny of all competitors ’information and data, as per the highest quality standards.” More than 100 economic establishments from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, and Kuwait took part in the 4th edition of the Sharjah Excellence Award, in addition to a considerable number of male and female entrepreneurs. While more than 60 assessors participated in the evaluation of the six award categories, which include the Sharjah Excellence Award, Sharjah Gulf Excellence Award, Sharjah Green Award, Sharjah Small & Medium Enterprise Award, Sharjah CSR Award, and Sharjah Entrepreneurs Award.
