delegation from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has recently visited the 40th edition of Buraidah Date Festival in the central Al Qassim region of Saudi Arabia. Mohammed Musabbah Al Tunaiji, director of SCCI branch in Al Dhaid and head of the delegation, said that the visit is in line with SCCI’s keenness to open wider horizons of cooperation between Saudi date businessmen and their counterparts in Sharjah and the UAE, and benefit from the Saudi expertise in organising such festivals. He added that the visit included a number of constructive work meetings with the Festival’s organisers learning about the mechanisms and organisation of the festival to benefit from them in developing the next Al Dhaid Date Festival. Other date- related issues were addressed during the visit.
