The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, SCCI, represented by Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the chamber, held discussions with Mogobo David Magabe, South Africa’s Consul-General on enhancing joint cooperation, as well as prospects of trade and investment partnerships with South Africa. Al Owais met with Magabe and his accompanying delegation, and discussed cooperation and investment opportunities in various sectors, particularly, South Africa’s tourism sector. Magabe called for making use of the Emirate of Sharjah’s expertise in family tourism field, pointing out that the cooperation in this sector helps serve the joint objectives and contributes to the development of ties to high standards. In turn, Al Owais shed light on the importance of communication between business communities in Sharjah and South Africa, noting that the participation in Sharjah’s global exhibitions represents a fundamental factor in this regard. Al Owais invited South Africa’s private sector to take advantage of the specialised economic exhibitions organised by Sharjah throughout the year and to take part in those exhibitions to learn more about Sharjah business community’s needs, in addition to closely discovering the opportunities of the diverse economic sectors.
