The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized an educational seminar entitled “The Future of Business and Services in the Age of Artificial Intelligence”, in cooperation with Stayton for Artificial Intelligence, which stressed on the importance of investing in artificial intelligence techniques and tools in various fields of life and work, to realize the vision of the wise leadership to harness technology and innovation to achieve Smart transformation according the UAE vision 2021. The seminar, presented by Samer Obeidat of Stayton Artificial Intelligence, was organized as part of the ongoing efforts of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry to introduce the business community in the emirate to the practical mechanisms of artificial intelligence and keep abreast of the developments in this field. The seminar was attended by Mohammed Ahmed Amin, Acting Director General of the Chamber, Mariam Saif Al Shamsi, Assistant General Manager, Support Services Sector at the Chamber, Ibrahim Al Jarwan, Director of Economic Relations and Marketing as well as a large number of representatives from the private sector and employees of the Chamber. The seminar reviewed a number of themes and topics, notably artificial intelligence: horizons and aspirations, institutional culture and professional ethics under artificial intelligence, governments and smart companies in the age of artificial intelligence. Mohammed Ahmed Amin, Acting Director General, said that the secret of the UAE’s success in its exemplary, rich and pioneering development experience in the region and the world is mainly due to its prudent leadership in looking ahead to the future and its focus on development as a way to provide a good and happy life for the country’s citizens and residents. He added that such seminars aim to improve performance, speed up the achievements and create a creative and innovative work environment with high productivity by raising awareness of the latest techniques and tools of artificial intelligence and applying them in various fields of work efficiently for the best investment of all energies and investing human and material resources available in a creative way to accelerate the implementation of development programs and projects to reach the future, considering the strategic and cumulative dimensions of technological solutions. Amin affirmed that the UAE has realized the importance of artificial intelligence, established for it the first ministry in the world and appointed the first Minister of Artificial Intelligence in accordance with the leaps of qualitative development witnessed in the country. He pointed out to the importance of artificial intelligence in containing risks, noting the keenness of the Sharjah chamber to cooperate with all the active institutions to achieve the wise vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, that the UAE to achieve success and excellence and to ensure that its society has sustainable and inexhaustible happiness.
