The youth council at the Sharjah chamber of commerce and industry organized the first get together entitled “The Leadership”, within the “Youth Talk” initiative launched in 2019, and included several topics on inspirational leadership experiences and the building of a leading future for youth according to the UAE vision 2071. The meeting was attended by Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah chamber of commerce and industry, Mariam Saif Al Shamsi, Assistant General Manager, Support Services Sector at the Chamber, Giovanna Remondini, Certified Coach and Trainer from “Strategy Beyond Borders” and a number of young entrepreneurs and chamber staff. At the beginning of the meeting, Al Owais, welcomed the young attendees, appreciating their role in strengthening the development of their country in order to achieve a better future for the UAE and its people, stressing on their major role as a force of change with their enormous potentials to defend the fundamental issues of their community. Al Owais confirmed the importance for youth to possess the art of leadership and the ability to analyze information and make sound decisions based on scientific methodologies, and work to develop their skills and potentials, both as entrepreneurs and owners of successful projects or even in their work as employees in major companies and institutions in the State. He called on the young people to work with determination and persistence to provide positive ideas and initiatives that enable practical solutions to challenges they face. The Youth Council vision is based on “An innovative management by youth to build pioneer societies” and its message is to work to rehabilitate and enable young men and women to achieve development through pioneer initiatives inside and outside their institutions”.
