Sharjah Chamber is taking part in the 36th Edition of Sharjah International Book Fair that is organized by the Sharjah Book Authority November 1 – 11 at Expo Centre Sharjah, themed “A World in My Book”, in a dedicated pavilion that exhibits the latest releases and published print and digital content, as well as services and facilities provided by the various publishing houses working in Sharjah emirate.
The pavilion additionally exhibited the most prominent books from Sharjah Chamber’s library, one of the oldest specialist economic libraries in the UAE and a great facility provided by Sharjah Chamber to its partners and clients from the private and public sectors, including its own publication the Industrial Directory for Sharjah Emirate 2017 – 2018 launched recently, a key reference for the business community, reflecting Sharjah Chamber’s leading role in serving the business community and enhancing its competitive edge.
HE Khaled bin Butti Al Hajeri, Director General, accompanied by Ibrahim Al Jarwan, Director of the Economic Relations and Marketing Department, toured the fair and met various government officials attending the fair in addition to publishers and exhibitors, and discussed with them ways for cooperation to support joint efforts made to spread a culture of reading, which enhances Sharjah’s position in publishing.
