HE Abdullah Sultan Al Oweis stressed the importance of developing the business environment and activating commerce, industry and tourism in the central and eastern provinces of Sharjah emirate by holding promotions, festivals, and fairs to introduce these regions as distinguished tourist attractions, in line with the wise directives of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qassimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah to pay close attention to the central and eastern provinces socially, economically and culturally and in matters related to heritage and culture and living conditions.
This came in a ceremony held by Sharjah Chamber at Al Dhaid City Cultural Center to honor all work teams and committees that have contributed to organizing the 2nd edition of the Al Dhaid Dates Festival and the Khorfakkan Economic Forum and the 5th Fishing Festival.
The ceremony was attended by HE Abdullah Al Oweis, Chairman of Sharjah Chamber, board members, HE Mohammad bin Huweiden, Director of the Municipality Council of Al Dhaid City, HE Salem Al Ketbi, Chairman of Al Dhaid Sports and Cultural Club, Khalifah Al Tunaiji, Deputy Chairman of the Municipalilty Council, Rashid Al Muhayan, Chairman of Students’ Guardians’ Council, Khalil Al Mansouri, Sharjah Chamber’s Branches Director, Muhammad Al Tunaiji, Al Dhaid branch Director and general coordinator of the festival, in addition to government officials, stakeholders, businessmen and staff from Sharjah Chamber.
