HE Khalid Bin Butti Al Hajri, Director General of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stressed the importance of the industrial sector and its leading role in supporting the economy of Sharjah and the UAE, pointing out that the emirate contributes roughly 37% of the total industrial output of the country and is host to more than 20 industrial cities that enhance Sharjah’s facilities for industrial investments.

In his introductory presentation at the inauguration of the Sharjah Chamber of Industry's 2017-2018 Business Directory, Al Hajeri said that under the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, Sharjah has succeeded in solidifying its stature as an industrial destination, keeping pace with the global changes in technology, innovation and distinction in various fields.
