The creative products of 9 Emirati designers attracted visitors at the Middle East jewelry and Watch show, in its 43rd edition, that runs through October 7 at Expo Center Sharjah, who took part in a pavilion dedicated to Emirati designers, which Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry had taken the initiative to hold for the first time to support young entrepreneurs.
The pavilion, bearing the banner “Emirati Designers’ Stand”, provided the opportunity to Emirati talent to enter the world of jewelry making, develop their skills in craftsmanship and marketing, through innovating brand names that can compete and reach the global lucrative markets.
HE Abdullah Sultan Al Oweis, Sharjah Chamber’s Chairman of the Board, said: “An initiative like this attracts more Emirati entrepreneurs, and especially ladies and young ladies, to this sector, a vital sector that supports various other sectors such as gold and precious stones, and assists the national economy in diversification of resources and competitive edge of Sharjah and the UAE.”
