Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry has invited the business community, retail companies, and importers and exporters to attend an awareness workshop on value added tax in the UAE this Wednesday at its headquarters, in collaboration with the Federal Tax Authority.
The workshop, which comes as part of a plan to spread awareness of tax laws launched by the government in March 2017 and held under the theme “Value Added Tax for Importers and Exporters and Registration Mechanism”, reviews recent development in the tax system in the UAE and mechanisms for implementing the value added tax and registration procedures at the tax authority and all that’s related of obligations, auditing, and tax transactions for the importers and exporters sector.
Mohammad Ahmed Amin, Assistant Director General for the Communication and Business Sector, confirmed the Chamber’s keenness to support efforts made for implementing the tax system among the business community in Sharjah emirate, by familiarizing its members with of the tax procedures law and the value added tax law for importers and exporters and the mechanism for registration, all within the framework of the Chamber’s keenness to play its part to achieve the vision of the wise leadership and support economic diversification and sustainable growth in the UAE.
