Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry has examined the means to enhance economic relations with the People’s Republic of China and how Sharjah could make use of its location and competitive advantages as a hub for Chinese companies that wish to expand in the region.
This came at Sharjah Chamber’s hosting of a delegation from the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Ningxia Branch at its headquarters recently with HE Mohammad Rashid Deemas, board member, Mohammad Ahmed Amin, Director General Assistant for the Business and Communication Sector, and Omar Ali Saleh, Director of International Relations at the Chamber.
In his address Mr. Deemas praised the strong economic relations that bind China and the UAE, especially with Sharjah becoming a model destination for Chinese companies.
HE Deemas stressed Sharjah Chamber’s keenness to build strong ties with the business community in China and working to apprise it of opportunities for investment in Sharjah emirate, after receiving Chinese delegations from the private and public sectors who wish to use Sharjah as a starting point to expand their trade and economic relations.
Mr Deemas pointed out the excellent relations between Sharjah Chamber and its Chinese counterparts that are always utilized to serve the business community in Sharjah and especially with the cooperation with China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Ningxia Branch.
The Chinese delegation presented Sharjah Chamber with an invitation to take part in the China-Arab States Expo 2017 that will be hosted by China this September, an excellent platform for cooperation between China and the Arab countries in various fields such as agriculture, services and logistics, tourism, financial services, innovation and others that attract investment.
The exhibition comprises forums, workshops and bilateral meetings that contribute to apprising the business community of investment opportunities in China and apprising Chinese companies of investment opportunities in the Arab markets.
